Region: Kanto (Vermilion City)
Type: An All rounder at the moment, but when she's older, Kurai hopes to become a Fire-type trainer. At the moment she'd be listed as a cross between an Ace Trainer and a beauty.

Background Info:

Kurai was brought up in Blackthorn City by her mother and Father until the age of 3. Her mother, April, was a housewife and her father, Jack, worked alongside the Daycare center in the more dangerous department of helping trainer gain control over their pokemon which had evolved too early for the trainer to handle.
Kurai had no idea what happened the day her father didn't come home but the fact that since that awful day April hasn't gone near a pokemon explains it.
Thus the redhead girl grew up in Vermilion, it was the only town her mother tolerated. April liked the town since it was near the ocean but she didn't like Kurai playing with the Wingulls that passed overhead during the summer. Due to all of her mother's rules, Kurai grew rebellious and left Vermilion city once she had turned 16. Hopping on a ferry and not looking back.
It was pure luck that on the same ferry, a Breeder from Johto had a bit of trouble with her eggs; they had begun to hatch.
Kurai didn't mind helping and spent most of her journey to Hoenn trying to catch the young pokemon until only a small Vulpix remained.
The old breeder didn't realise this however and headed off the ferry at the first stop, Kurai then found the Vulpix pup only moments after they had set sail for the next reigon.
Feeling responsible for the cub, Kurai fed her and tried to keep her out of trouble...even after 3 years she hasn't managed this.

Pixal traveled with Kurai for a month until the duo one day came across a cave of charmanders. Kurai had to block their escape since so many had pelted away into the bushes. Only 3 to choose from and one seemed to be a strange color from the rest of them. Pixal was evenly-matched with the shiny charmander but Kurai was lucky to catch the pokemon on her 5th toss of a pokeball. Darkfire was a valued member of the team, he grew stronger with each evolution until now he's the slickest one on the team.
